Written with love & care by Drew Henry

awakened moonbeam soul

smell of exhaust diesel

delinquency tired of itself

exhausted by the newsfeed

staring out at the fluffy grey skyline

she sniffs a line off the coffee table

all i was ever meant to be was a bad writer

i rot to the howling buzz of society

bones decaying from the drugs

the sun gently says its morning hello

the coffee shop is there on the corner

solitary morning walks

smokes below & above it all

another day sifting through nothing

answers within, questions without

a trip to the mall would still cure me

iced americano please… pretty please

xoxo gossip girl

something about Mary

something about nothing

tugging at heartstrings

liquor to rinse after brushing teeth

cool art, stupid life

already dead… yea, already dead

you catch me smoking at the bar

you hit your vape too

i catch a cab to the edge of the world

broken hearted boredom

trap house in the suburbs

junkies reading Burroughs

and nobody was ever talking about anything

all we ever wanted was a good coffee & smoke

homeless man climbs out of the ditch

bitch of life is the poetic part

she’s bitching & i kiss her cheek

there’s never anything to report back

wish i could say i killed it last year

guess i did… seemed like i did at least

spent a minute in the gutter

playboy saviors, stupid spewed words

kill me with your embroidered silver dagger

puncture wounds pierced by your tongue

i’m jus a deadbeat

jus wanna glow up in a new fit

instead i’m in yesterday’s old attire

we sit on the moon & smoke

wondering about the point of it all

the room hums as i open up a book

old poetry, new place to drown
