Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Written with love & care by Drew Henry

They don’t make rockstars like they used to

They don’t make punk like they used to

Cigarettes & The New York Times for $5

Whatever the cost was

Maybe i was born too late

Maybe we missed the revolution

All i know is things are still somewhat the same

Despite inflation, despite desensitization

We have easier access than ever to it all

Now we jus got to decide what to do with it all

Look around every once in a while

Preoccupied with some screen

Step off the grid

Listen to some rare sound

Find the hidden gem stashed

And believe in the spiritual being

Jus waking up, amused yet despondent

Enlightened beyond superfluous noise

Society is a broken record filled with nonsense

Take a step back from the scene

Yearning for noteworthy art

& noteworthy conversation

With first class cigarettes

Cheap beer

& drip coffee at the diner

So good you have to drink it black

& they keep coming back to fill your cup
